Comfort

We prioritize your comfort since we know it is important to feel comfortable in therapy.

Our space is filled with soft, natural light and warm lighting. We use calming colours to create a soothing atmosphere.

Comfortable seating, warm textures, and gentle decor help you feel at ease as soon as you walk in

Accommodations

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy includes accommodations for your sensory needs. We strive to make our space sensory-friendly, and as everyone has differing needs, we welcome input from our clients to adapt our space best to make you as comfortable as possible.

Below are some adaptations we have made to our space to ensure that neurodivergent clients are accommodated and comfortable.

All clients are welcome and encouraged to request accommodations to ensure our space together is comfortable and meets your needs.

Soft and Adaptable Lighting

The space is designed with soft, warm lighting to create a calming and soothing atmosphere. Harsh fluorescent lights are avoided to reduce sensory overload and help you feel more relaxed and at ease during your session. If sensory lighting (like gentle colour-changing options) feels more comfortable for you, that’s available too. Your comfort is my priority.

Sensory Items / Fidget Toys

A variety of sensory and fidget toys are available to use during sessions. These tools can help with self-regulation, focus, and comfort, allowing you to engage in a way that feels natural and supportive to your needs.

Blankets & Weighted Items

Weighted blankets, lap pads, and toys are available to provide deep pressure input, which can be grounding and calming for many individuals. These tools can help reduce anxiety and create a sense of safety and comfort.

Activities

Engaging in activities like colouring, board games, or puzzles can be a helpful way to ease into conversation and self-expression. These activities provide a relaxed, low-pressure way to connect and communicate during sessions.
